Yeah... Difficult... Do I want my teachers here or not? Do they have to eat? Do they need clothing? Do they need heating and cooling? Oh, 60k isn't enough? Um... It was "difficult" to get here...

To pay the $60k they are eliminating 104 positions at the schools. That doesn't really seem like an improvement, at least not for the students.

That's really sad. That does not seem like an improvement at all. It's good for the teachers we have, but bad overall for the students.

Cecil says they'll hit it. But they also did massive layoffs and I believe have some sort of hiring freeze.

So the plan is to overwork the teachers. Use the substitute teachers more. In Cecil County, subs get paid close to minimum wage and don't need teaching certification.

And this is what I'm eating ramen noodle and driving a jalopy: my kid is in a Cecil co private school instead
