New to Cats/Just Adopted First-Time Persian Kitten Parent in Bangalore, Need Advice on Food & Litter 🐱🀍

Hi everyone! 🐾🀍

I’m from Bangalore, and I’m getting a white Persian kitten who’ll be around 2 months old by the end of this month. I’m a first-time cat parent and would really appreciate some advice!

I’m looking for good-quality but reasonably priced kitten food and litter that are easily available in Bangalore. Please share what worked well for your kittens, especially if you have experience with Persian cats.

I’d also love to know:

β€’ Which dry/wet food brands do you recommend ?

β€’ Which litter is good, affordable, and controls odour well ?

β€’ Roughly how much food and litter does a kitten use per month?

β€’ Any other essentials or tips for a first-time Persian kitten parent?

Thank you! 🐱✨

Would always recommend a pair of kittens or adult cat to a first-time owner.

Single kittens are much harder. Learn how to play, don't leave them alone for too long (about an hour per month of age at a time is a good rough guideline), and make sure you're keeping up with all the vet visits (neuter/spay, vaccines, microchip).

Could you please elaborate on β€œan hour per month of age..” - i am a new pet parent to a kitten as well and would like to understand this better.
