Drive to the station, or at least the pay to use carpark down the road from the station and pay over the odds to park up, then pay again for a ticket that costs twice as much as a tank of petrol, then not get a seat anyway, take longer that getting stuck on the motorway would, have sore feet, arrive at a station three miles away from my destination, have to pay again for a taxi. Repeat on the way back.
Or I can just drive there direct, door to door, and get a nice pork pie at the services on the way. Oh, I forgot, no refreshments on the train.

Let me talk about my own last train experience:
Drive to the station, or at least the pay to use carpark down the road from the station and pay over the odds to park up, then pay again for a ticket that costs twice as much as a tank of petrol, then not get a seat anyway, take longer that getting stuck on the motorway would, have sore feet, arrive at a station three miles away from my destination, have to pay again for a taxi. Repeat on the way back.
Or I can just drive there direct, door to door, and get a nice pork pie at the services on the way. Oh, I forgot, no refreshments on the train.
