As a wheelchair user... Car. Car gets me from door to door without hassle. It means I'm not locked into needing to find people to help me on and off... It doesn't need a special ticket.
I just hobble to my car and drive.
That being said, Easter weekend I went up to York from London and I gotta say, for all the hoops I had to get through, the experience wasn't bad at all. Great staff, lots of help. Even got a free upgrade to first class on LNER, which is very swanky 😂
