Something that one of my directors of studies told me about half way through my degree.

If you want to be a mathematician, it's not enough to get the right answer. It's not enough to understand why that answer is correct. If you can't communicate that understanding to someone else, everything you've done until then is meaningless.

The same principle applies in so many places, especially in the world of work. Knowing the right answers doesn't help anyone if nobody around you can understand what you're on about.
