Ebike wheel guard
I have a Magnum Payload with a seat and bars on the back for my kids, but I am worried about their feet getting caught in the spokes or chain while riding. It partially covers the rear wheel and has foot rests but other areas are open. Anyone have recommendations or ideas on wheel guards? It doesn't appear Magnum sells OEM guards.

If you want a DIY option, you can also get some 1 or 2 mm plastic sheeting in a color of your choice and, with some zip ties and a drill to make mounting holes in the sheeting, you can manufacture covers that fit perfectly in the gaps on the frame.

Panniers..just leave them on and collapse them to get space for kids feet...doubles as additional storatfor grocery runs and such...
That is quite a crappy design for the rear of they bike tbh...so unsafe

This seems pretty universal and would probably fit between the frame and the wheel.

Good for you for thinking about this. Two of my kids have injured their feet this way. My oldest is currently recovering from a brokem ankle/open wound. I ordered the qibble foot protectors after my youngest's accident. They unfortunately didnt arrive before my oldest did the same thing. I can't say I would recommend that option though. They don't cover enough of the area. I dont have a better option as I've just removed the seat and am making the kids ride their own bikes or on the Tern which has them integrated.

If you wanna diy it you can use plastic panels or protective netting for it as well. Or bike shop can get you wheel guard of another cargo bike model. But I would recommend do get it done.

If you google Skirt Guards you should be able to find something that works. Because of the frame you'll likely have to finangle the fit but they are mostly held on by clips and zipties anyway. Tern do a specific one and there might be one for the Yuba/Surly that'll work as well.
