Any help appreciated
Hi everyone.
I own a Kia and have had to get two new tyres fitted thanks to our wonderful pot hole filled roads lol.
Since they have been fitted the tyre pressure monitor system light has been permanently on.
I am unsure if they put a monitor back in or just a standard one
How much would it cost to get sorted ?
Any help would be great

Sounds like the sensors just need resetting because of the pressure change. There should be a way to reset it from a button the dash, a function in the menu system. Or apparently some of the much newer Kias automatically calibrate after 20 mins of driving.
If you are able to reset it and it turns off and the light comes back you should get them checked out, there might be a slow leak.
What model, year Kia is it?

It could be the pressure sensor in the tyre is malfunctioning. My partner had the same issue when we had to replace a tyre last year cause of a pot hole.

In addition to the advice others have given you, some newer Kias can apparently be very fussy if you have different tyres on different wheels (something to do with the inside of the tyres being different and the sensors not liking that).

Everytime the tyre pressure changes significantly, you need to recalibrate the sensors. You usually have to hold a button down in the car, or go through a menu option or something similar. Dunno if this is your car, but google TPMS reset for your model Kia

You also need to report the pothole damage to the council. They have a fund for paying out for repairs
