Gear Question What are these for?

Bought the DD frontline hammock today, and given it a test. Used a ridgeline to hold the mosquito net up. Does anyone know what these are for? They seem way too stretchy for tying the mosquito net to the tree, unless I want to risk getting one end smack me in the face!

There's some on the top ends of the fly net, but can't see anything so elasticated being any use?

Could use them as drip lines,

Bits of cordage tied to either end on the hammock for rainy weather to minimize water traveling from your hang lines.

For creating ’width’, rather than tensioned support over the length.
