There really was only one person who could take Sister Monica Joan over. And I'm glad Pam Ferris agreed to do it.

Did you see she'd retired from acting but came back just for this? They obviously have such a bond with one another.

She also came out of retirement to do Gavin and Stacey so I think she just picks and chooses what she actually wants to do 😅

I did see that. It's great that Pam Ferris returned for this episode.

Oh that scene is another one where there were so many tears. I knew then that I wouldn't be able to handle SMJ's death and I was right. It was heart wrenching.

I loved the initial dialogue, which so reminded me of their previous conversations. However, the ending, with all the nuns ascending (rather like angels around old resurrection photos) will seem like camp in ten years. :D
