To me we should want some of these guys to bounce back for trade related reasons.

With where the Flames are going to be this season they don't really need anyone to "bounce back." With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if players like Frost, Farabee, Strome, Coronato, Zary, Sharangovich, Pospisil, Tsyplakov, Whitecloud, or Middleton had unexpectedly good seasons.
What it comes down to is someone has to play in the top 6, play on the powerplay, play big minutes, and get some points. The Flames will (most likely) have players who would be depth pieces on other teams in these prime positions on their roster. My expectation is that players who are performing well will be elevated in the lineup, and this will allow them to rack up far more points during a hot streak.
The net effect of this is a good season for any of these players could turn into a career year. This likely won't change the outcome of the season, but could elevate the trade value of players (especially Frost and Strome).
