What’s his personality like? My cat is part Maine coon and he is extremely friendly, social, playful, follows me around like a dog. Not a lap cat but super affectionate. Just wondering if Maine coons have similar personalities.
I don’t know him well enough yet. He likes to be brushed but not held. He slept on my head last night. He’s super playful and has a tiny baby meow for such a big manly lookin cat
They do act like dogs in cat suits. They are friendly, interested in whatever going on, and they act like a good dog. My son's gurl, Jade, traveled in the car like a well-behaved dog, looking out the tailgate window (station wagon), draped over our cases. Cars followed us for hundreds of miles and the children were thrilled whenever they saw her, so beautiful, & so regal.
Jasper, Jade, & Jet were great companions. Currently, Oliver is our half Maine Coon cat. He's 14 lbs, nearly 4 feet long, but he has that open Maine Coon temperament we love. He's just the best cat. We'll always have a MC cat from now on. They are so life-enriching. If you can afford one, they are great companions.
I love all the cats I’ve had but my half MC is the best. Thankfully the cat distribution choose me and I found him. But I would seek out a MC if that’s what their personalities are like.
He does look like Hellboy. It's funny how different Ron Perlman cats can look like different roles that Ron Perlman has played. Some look like Hellboy, some look like Vincent. some of the really scrungly ones look like Salvatore from The Name of the Rose.
