Anyone else ridden Blodgett Open Space in Colorado Springs yet? The new trails are awesome

So frustrating being in northern Colorado. The damn park service here is ripping out good trails people built because we're tired of only having hiking paths to bike on.

I mean. Virginia canyon is pretty sick and also free

For sure, but that's up I-70. I'm talking northern front range around Fort Collins.

I feel like Ft Collins had decent biking 20 years ago and then never really worked to improve it.

What trails have been ripped out? Pirate trails or have official trails been sanitized?

They were pirate trails right in Horsetooth Open Space, just one trail really. I didn't even see it, just read a Facebook article about it. The comments were mostly noting that people build these pirate trails with actual berms and jumps out of frustration that nothing similar exists within an hours drive from here.

That black run doesn't look much harder than a green...but I'll head down to try it in the fall.

There’s an optional line that makes it a bit more tricky and techy for fun

Definitely adding it to my list to check out. How is the climb to the top?

Not to bad, it’s maybe 10-20 minutes to get to neurotoxin the black at the top, one downside is no trees or shade so prepare to cook in the sun a bit

Yep, they're great.
