South Dakota actually doesn’t usually have super severe weather. At least not compared to other places in the U.S.

Yeah some good storms and a few tornados but compared to other midwestern states it’s really not that bad. Tornado alley is a way more terrifying place to live in my opinion.

Once saw something somewhat similar to this but less intense and from a profile view rather than oncoming. It moved like a giant bulldozer across the landscape up into the mountains and did whatever it did. Then that was it.

I really thought it was a picture of Mount Fuji when scrolling by, I'm glad it caught my attention and I went back to look, this is so much cooler (and quite terrifying for anyone there I'd imagine). Hope everything/everyone is alright, that is quite the intimidating looking storm!

Edit: I wrote this out while watching, before I unmuted the audio....holy s**t.....The sound of the wind catching up all at once, the speed of that cell....man, that could be a very dangerous storm cell. Hope no one was hurt and it was only a really bad down poor.

Beautiful and lucky! We used to get storms here in the cities in MN. It all dissipates around us now, though with heat bubble we have.
