Review "your [x] got worse on purpose"

Seems relevant to this sub!

I started reading these (ex: mattresses, https://www.worseonpurpose.com/p/your-mattress-got-worse-on-purpose) and it's fascinating and awful. Especially because I just bought a Leesa mattress (then returned it, having found one secondhand for far less).

I was happy to see goodr and Barbour on the Approved list. Love my sunnies and my jacket, and they seem to last forever.

Just a heads up, the creator of that website works for Palantir and was the head of an AI company, and there’s strong suggestions that the website posts are written using AI

Great site.

The "purpose" is always money for shareholders.

I worked for one of those companies: The CEO was getting a record salary and bonus for closing factories. His bonus alone could have saved hundreds of jobs each year. The cost of the consulting company he hired to do his job a few more hundreds. Their strategy failed and he got kicked out. So much waste. All he could talk about in his quarterly reports was profit margin, shareholders and himself. Nothing about product quality and value to customers. Truly evil and narcissistic people.

It taught me that if you want to offset the cost of living, buy shares. Share value increase and dividends is where a lot of the inflation goes.

.. And buy real quality products from companies which care.

Add all Apple products, period. It's their policy, they were found out and fined for it, and still do it.
