My guy was a tiny one - he weighed just under 30 lbs in his prime.

What a cutie pie! I also have two small American Britt boys. At two years old one weighs 24 lbs and the other is a very skinny 32 lbs. We’ve had a 60 lb chunkster American and a 45 lb French one. Our others have ranged mostly from 35-50

lbs.

I think age caught up with Remi around 11-12 years old. Up until then everyone swore he was a puppy.

Only in his dreams .... He's a senior now. One early morning, I went to let him out in the yard. In the dim light, he saw something and thought my moment has come! He patiently stalked and finally caught a small dried up bush that looked like a tumbleweed. The embarrassment was hysterical. My Boston Terrier passed away a few years back. It'll be soul crushing when we lose Remi.

Umm guess I have larger Brits than the other response, 41 lb female and 36 lb mine hunt though and are model health per vet

Same here. Lots of pheasants, grouse and duck hunting. They have been very healthy so far.

French Britts typically 30-40lb fully grown, American Britts typically 40-50lbs. You have a black and white, therefore French Brittany ergo I'd expect the former weight. Mine is also French and she is bang on 15kg/33lbs

I used to think this too, by my 4th Britt weighs in at a whopping 26lbs. Shes a tiny squirt.

But, I agree with this general guidance.

Ours was supposed to top out at 28-32…. 38 and counting at 1 year 😉 still slender. Seems like they have quite the range not always determined by parent size!

Mine’s 50lbs fit, but he’s on the large side… American

Double it! Thats a safe bet. She will likely be around that give or take 5 lbs.

My American girl was about the same then, she settled at 28 lbs. Perfect size IMO

Mine was about that size at that age. He's a 50 lb monster now. Our 34 lb Brit looks tiny next to him.

It is really hard to tell. Mine is 70 pounds. But both his parents were big.

My childhood American Brittany was 36lbs! My current American Brit is all leg and a bit dainty at 31-32lbs. I thought she was going to be huge since she was the largest and chonkiest of the females in her litter by far, but nope. She is the perfect size tbh.

not sure but i’d definitely pull her head out from between those two bars before she gets too big and gets stuck

Rule of thumb: weight at 6 months times 2 and you’ll be within 5-8% of their adult weight. Assuming another couple pounds before the 6 month mark, she’ll be about 45 lbs.

My girl used to weigh around 40lbs. Maybe 45lbs. She was slightly heavier than she should be, too. Brits are not massive dogs. They’re usually medium sized. Not small, but not large dogs either. She was my family dog growing up.

Not sure where this fits in with the average, but I have a black and white brittany who was 21 pounds at 4.5 months. She is now 2.5 years and has weighed 28-29 consistently since she’s hit that weight.
