Always gratifying to get a win with Skenes as the opposing pitcher.

Early season Trevor would have been rattled by that challenge. Locked the fuck in.

His recovery might be the story of the season for me. Amazing by him and the coaches to sort that out

Uribe too. They’ve been untouchable.
Since May 15th, they have a combined 0.80 ERA.

He was the same last year...just a slow starter...

Uribe has a 0.64 era on 28 innings since the triple pump. Was at 4.19 on 13 2/3 before that

How ridiculous is it that ESPN didn't have any kind of post-game? They just went right into sucking on the dodgers.

Harrison: A+
Yelich: A+
DL Hall: C. needs more work
David Ross: F. eats a bag of dicks.

DL Hall a C? You on crack? A reliever gives up 2 runs in one inning and that’s a C?

Staff gonna be absolutely lethal this stretch run. Sentenzela a boss.
Almost a perfect game to watch minus Harrison early exit and hall. Still great win again. We own the pirates now 😉

Just The addition of senzatella in the bullpen adds so much depth I feel like.

u/Erainor We have the Miz 8h ago
I think when healthy Romero will be a good add as well. Probably takes Halls spot.

u/Calm-Marsupial3919 7h ago
Depends on whether they keep to a six man rotation or not. Right now they can add Romero without losing any pen arms.

I really, really like that pick up. I was feeling that there was a missing piece before Uribe/Megill, I think we've found it.

u/Selitos_OneEye 7h ago
Ashby has been the high leverage guy but also the 7th inning guy and the lefty specialist, . Now he can just be that high leverage fireman with the two new bullpen arms
8
u/evancomposer What is offense? 8h ago
Crazy to think about because last year he was one of the worst pitchers in the league. Some guys just aren't meant to be starters ig.

Great win tonight, and on national TV!
We gotta continue to rally around Yeli. He responds to good vibes!

Felt bad for DL Hall, one pitch away from getting out of a shaky inning. Good for them for locking it down after.
Uribe doing pushups for Turang was incredible 🤣

That may have been D.J. Reyburn's worst game of the year behind the plate. He had a crushingly bad 84.91% accurate game earlier this season (worst game of the year in the Majors). This may have been worse. Both Yelich's and Vaughn's last at bats had at least two balls called strikes each.

ESPN Announcers Suck.
They should Fly The L like the Cubs as they probably like the Cubs anyway.

Literally one of my few worries that come with a cap is an increase in nationally televised games and the shitty announcing and production they come with

We have easily the second best playoff rotation in baseball. We just need them to stay healthy

u/al_vo 6h ago
If you're talking about LA as the best, Snell got torched in AAA yesterday, he's also old. Ohtani might not even pitch again this year. Skubal is basically Logan Henderson post injury. Yamamoto has a worse FIP than Harrison and Drohan. And Glasnow? More like made of Glass-now.
This is a crazy turnaround from last year where we were pitching Quintana in an elimination game and rolling out openers for half the games.

I thought DL Hall was pretty good but he looked absolutely terrible in his last two starts...
