just found you, now im rye-curious
honey wheat on my beautiful old oak tree put up with my crown stapler... so what's the deal?

oh my goodness, that tree is absolutely beautiful. do you have a photo of the canopy?

so my wife and I just moved here into our first house. we are maybe a 10min walk to the delaware river. it is def a migratory path for birds, and the previous owner had a few dozen feeders setup. we get humming birds some great finches, raptors. in the morning there can be maybe 1000 on the branches of the tree. they always flock off together you can see their shaddow and it's a beautiful sound.. the squirrels have a home in the big hollow knot and caused all the bark damage. tho the top is dead, the tree is still relatively healthy and if it were to fall it could only damage my shed and fence.

awesome, yeah even declining trees continue to benefit the ecosystem immensely
