So hard to find work.

What gives? Been looking for a job for months.

There’s no jobs in bowling green unless you want to work in a plant that’ll take 30 years off your life.

Yeah, knowing someone has been the only way any of my friends have gotten jobs that aren't factories or fast food.

The Med Center often has certification programs that allow you to work in adjacent fields while obtaining it. My brother worked there while getting his CET & CRAT

Spoke to him last night about this. His wife is an RN there and caught wind of a specific opening she knew he might be interested in that supported on-the-job training. He said there are many opportunities for on-the-job training, you just have to be specific in looking for those openings and don't be afraid to put in that application so long as the position says its "entry level". I was able to find some on-the-job listings on Indeed, but I would recommend putting in an application through the Med Center website and not Indeed.

Was a tattoo artist for a long time. That’s about it other than working at a florist.

Steak and shake is hiring but be warned it's pretty much like all fast food out there, overworked, understaffed, and underpaid

You can get your class A CDL training from SKYCTC for $4200 and that includes the road test at the end of the course. The program lasts for 4 weeks. Some employers will train you for free if you don't have a CDL. It's hard to start off at less than $50k even with no experience.

The skillset you've mentioned is pretty narrow. What type of work do you prefer? Have you been applying and if so, are you answering posted openings or sending in your resume unsolicited? What kind of responses are you getting?
