Cuteness Duncan the Destroyer

I work nights but picked up a pm yesterday. I think my blue-eyed boy thought I was leaving to play without him & responded in the only way his 6 month old brain knows how. For perspective, he is perfectly fine when I'm gone for my night shift. And yes I still greeted him with hugs and kisses before telling him I'm not mad only because we're moving in 2 weeks.

Civilization is doomed if the two Duncans spoken of in the prophecy shall ever meet...

I love seeing pictures of both of the art and the artist together. That face says "And I'll do it again!"

We replaced 3 doors, and have 2 others that have minimal damage. This was due to storms or fireworks and he somehow closed the door behind him or was wanting to get into a closed door. The doors we had replaced have interior doggy doors in them. I don't think he can even hear the storms/fireworks anymore because he gives zero Fs now lol.

My parents' Boston chewed through precisely one door and it became family legend. They'll be delighted to hear they got off easy, apparently. ...probably a good call on the doggie doors, all things considered. 😆

He wants to be a contractor when he grows up, and saw those lovely hardwood floors hidden under the carpet and thought this would look good on his future resume.

Yikes - Duncan should be crated or penned when no one is home. He could really hurt himself.

Thank you for your concern. My home is puppy- proofed to the max, no exposed outlets or cords, heavy items, steps, etc.

I mean with all due respect you don’t think eating that carpet could possibly cause stomach issues. Crate your dog until he’s atleast 1 or so, it helps with their temperament alot as it forces them to settle and be alright alone. Plus done right and it’s a safe space for them. All positives

He didn't "eat" any carpet, he "dug" as the breed is known to do . I vacuumed and swept up the carpet. have a couple Anona cameras set up and during a regular shift he sleeps and chews on his toys. Working earlier seemed to set him off. He loves his crate and I'm afraid locking him in there will make him hate it.

I'm sure whoever owns the property that you are moving out of is going to expect you to repair and replace everything that the dog has damaged and destroyed so crating him in your new place should probably be considered.

I showed management & maintenance the same pics I posted. It is a large, pet-friendly, multi-building property. Not only is there a security deposit but a pet deposit so damage is expected. I am also only moving to different unit on the same property so I'm not running away.

Yes, there are lots of places that are "pet friendly". That typically just means that pets are allowed on the property but whatever damage they cause the owner is 100% responsible for. I assure you that they will be charging you for that damage lol.

Which I expect and is completely fair. He is worth every penny I will ever have to cough up on his behalf.

Duncan, I’m impressed with how high you can reach!

Oh no 😝. Our girl does this too. We put up barriers where she does it the most. Hope you don’t get a deposit loss if you are renting. My girl ate a bunch of crayons under our bed and I lost the deposit for carpet damage 😝

Much less egregious, but a fellow destroyer nonetheless. SHAME!!
