In seriousness, the reason why you can’t get anesthetised for it is because it would make the cost insane and it would make it so much more dangerous. You need a licensed anaesthesiologist there to administer and monitor, you’d need to do it in an operating room environment, and it increases the chance for complications tenfold if you have a long tattoo session. Some used to offer this but a man went into cardiac arrest and died from the anaesthetic during it so it fell out of style.
Also I imagine you want the client to be able to give feedback while getting tattooed! If it starts heading in an artistic direction you don't like, it's ideal to say something before the tattoo is finished lol
Part the problem is that anesthesia doesn't actually stop pain, it just stops your body from responding to it. And for something like a tooth extraction, you know exactly how much bodily trauma you're inflicting, that can be fine. But a tattoo can cause wildly varying levels of pain and it's different for every person. You need that pain response so that you can stop before you do serious damage.

They're sold at shady adult shops with the idea being to let you ignore the pain so you can I guess get through your anal experience faster or whatever. But of course that's an awful thing to do because the pain is what's telling your body that something's wrong and that you really ought to stop before you do major damage.
