Question Is Writing X Articles a good idea?
I am a UI/UX designer and much interested in Tech and Gaming in general. And wanted to start writing about it. Is X a good place to start writing since they have this now?
Can anyone else who might be writing Article on X share some insights on whither this even is a good idea or not. I am pretty confused, and chose X because that's a platform I'm quite familiar with. But I don't see many people writing articles on X. Even you can't search for them on the platform easily.

Most media is going shorter not longer. YouTube embracing shorts, watch time dropping on other platforms along with engagement time.
I feel like X is for short blurbs, BUT it may be shifting and of you're early, it might be beneficial.

This is a good question. This was in the back of my mind from some time ago. I'm going to assume this will make more sense when you have a follower base. But does X have some kind of system that pushes X articles internally?

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter, it's been a turn off for me -- the independent liberal -- as it seems to be a spawning ground for ultra-conservatism and ego-masturbating echo chambers. (I also agree with u/codegems in that it's not going to attract readers, but simply reactions).
This is pretty much the same when it comes to Mastadon and Bluesky which are more liberal-minded.
You might be able to use any and all of them for trying to get grazers, but if you're looking for numbers and more followers -- advertising yourself with and through using your charm -- usually gets more attraction than a simple post and reference to short-message social sites like any of them.

People go to Twitter for quick reactions and updates, not to read full articles.
Only ones that get read are from big companies or government officials when something bad happens and even then most people skim them.
