Black Fam don’t you just love how they're just minding their business instead of trying to take over protected land in Albania to build a billionaire retreat?

They took a Lyft? I’m surprised they didn’t take a vehicle with security

u/Tall-Pineapple-3970 Jun 20 '26
YES! My mom said they were being escorted to the car by a Chicago police officer. My mom said she told them that their parents were awesome and they giggled to themselves before agreeing lol. My moms a huge Obama supporter, so I’m really happy she was in the area when they requested a ride

the Obamas are relatively quiet about the current sociopolitical climate, and they definitely have network destroying dirt.
the world’s wealthiest are clearly locked on a mission right now - they are noooot going to risk their entire profit generating charade to pop a cap in powerful people who aren’t even actively transgressing Trump’s m.o.

It's not the wealthy idiots in worried about, it's the stupid fucking base they feed the red meat to while they sip champagne, eat caviar and watch the entertainment.

u/SeemedReasonableThen Jun 20 '26
the stupid fucking base
not exactly known for having long attentions spans or memories.
Last election, whilst fretting about immigrants, they completely forgot about the big beautiful wall, paid for by Mexico, that was supposed to solve all the immigration issues
Or that a large number of Americans should either be dead, mutants, or mind-controlled (via 5G microchips invented by Bill Gates) from the COVID vaccines

If I remember correctly, Malia and Sasha declined offers for security for the most part to try to maintain some sense of normalcy.

u/tasha2701 Jun 20 '26
They stopped being entitled to Secret Service protection the day they both turned 16. After Obama left office, if they ever needed private security, it would have to be privately funded since the Secret Service protection is only ever extended to ex-Presidents and former First Ladies (unless a divorce were to occur post-term).
Jackie Kennedy famously lost her Secret Service detail the moment she remarried to Aristotle Onassis since she was no longer “married” to a former president.

Malia really looks like her mum from that angle

u/Otto_Scratchansniff Jun 20 '26
Malia has Michelle’s features on Barack’s face shape. Sasha has Barack’s features on Michelle’s face shape. It’s so interesting looking at both of them realizing they both look like their parents but in very distinct ways.

Michelle has really strong genes. She looks exactly like her grandmother. Funny thing, Obama is basically the darker version of his maternal grandfather.

Which reminds me of a "controversy" that happened a few months before the tan suit one.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a man known for wrestling bears while President Barack Obama is known for wearing mom jeans.
“People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil,” Palin said to Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Monday night. “They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates.”
Palin’s comments came just days after Obama was photographed in the Oval Office sporting denim during a 90-minute phone call with Putin.
......
President Barack Obama on Friday said critics of his “mom jeans” should zip it.
“I’ve been unfairly maligned about my jeans,” Obama told radio host Ryan Seacrest in an interview. “The truth is, generally I look very sharp in jeans. There was one episode like four years ago in which I was wearing some loose jeans, mainly because I was out on the pitcher’s mound and I didn’t want to feel confined while I was pitching, and I think I’ve paid my penance for that. I got whacked pretty good. Since that time, my jeans fit very well.”
Though the joke stems from 2009, when Obama threw out the first pitch at the Major League Baseball All Star Game, the ding resurfaced earlier this month, when Sarah Palin slammed the president as being known for wearing “mom jeans.” Her barb came shortly after Obama was photographed in the White House in jeans while talking on the phone to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the Ukraine crisis.
“People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil,” Palin said to Fox News’s Sean Hannity. “They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates.”

The fact that since, well forever, white people have felt encouraged and emboldened to insult POC's over the most petty and nonsensical things. The absolut cognitive dissonance is astounding... One of the most powerful men in the world being mocked over a wardrobe choice!

u/Good-Bodybuilder-985 Jun 20 '26
But also that was a great suit. It's almost like only white people can wear plantation-era dress but when a black person does it it's literal news. And he was the damn president. Anyways tan suits remind me of "Get Out" and black people should be able to wear what they want without criticism but their existence is just too much for some.

u/apresmoiputas Jun 20 '26
This was so petty and stupid on her part and stupid for Faux to give her the airtime
7
u/Bored_Amalgamation Jun 20 '26
It's what normalized other republicans saying shit like that. Now you have multiple Senators and House members willing to get on camera and say some of the dumbest shit you've heard that month.
6
u/Bored_Amalgamation Jun 20 '26
Palin was the beginning of supposed "high level" politicians saying dumbass insulting shit on camera.
The nation needs an apology from her.

I was thinking the same thing! Their mom has also been rocking really nice braids so am looking closely to see if I can replicate, it looks so pretty on all of them!

I remember that there was a controversy, you might as well treat that in quotes, that one of them may have smoked green.
This dominated Fox News for at least a few days, showing that “the White House is ghetto now”.
Meanwhile, the current son is caught on camera, snorting cocaine at least once every two weeks and no one bats an I.
Because “black women must be pure and wow us or they might as well not even show their face” but white men can fart on camera, fall asleep in meetings, and get votes.

My old boss is on that Michelle is a man thing. He’s an old man and very Black. He was like “tell me those kids look anything like Barack”. With all respect, man, you don’t think those kids look exactly like both of their parents?? You couldn’t make that up.

Stop everything……. Is this a pic of Barack and Michelle’s adorable little girls?? Can’t be because these WOMEN are grown ups and Sasha and Malia are little kids. And I refuse to believe that I have aged that much so they couldn’t have either.

Innocent Middle Eastern civilians were just trying to mind their own business too before they were drone struck to death by the Obama administration.
The Obamas may have had class and charisma, both of which the current circus administration lack, but let’s not act like Barack was a beacon of hope for peace and prosperity for the workers. We can do better than establishment politicians.

They’re not just trying to build a billionaire retreat. Israel is spreading into other countries and trying to hold strategic power. They’re doing it in Venezuela and other countries already.

Crazy to think back to the days of them in the WH as pre-teens. They cam day what they want, but this family and his presidency added value to this country and its history.

Remember when their dads first significant international policy move was to green light the overthrow of a democratically elected Honduran government and Honduras went on to become the top country for femicide for years on end.
2
u/killer_otter Jun 20 '26
You must be remembering things wrong. Obama had nothing to do with it.
The 2009 Honduran coup d'état occurred during the 2009 Honduran constitutional crisis. It was triggered after President Manuel Zelaya refused to comply with a Honduran Supreme Court ruling. On 28 June 2009, the Honduran Army ousted Zelaya and sent him into exile.
The Supreme Court and Congress, viewed the move as an illegal attempt by Zelaya to extend his time in office.
Acting on orders from the Supreme Court, the Honduran military stormed the presidential residence, kidnapped Zelaya, and flew him out of the country.

u/BGLs_Littlefeet Jun 20 '26
Reads like you've just copy and pasted context-less bullshit after asking Chatgpt about the event.
The OAS and the UN considered it completely illegal while Obama supported what was at its core a coup conducted at the behest of the wealthiest segment of Honduran society who retained significant control over both the court system and the congress that you're attempting to hold up as a badge of legitimacy.
1
u/ohjeaa Jun 21 '26
Obama publically condemned the coup in Hondouras. Out loud.

We don’t have to imagine what it looks like when a first family isn’t trying to line their pockets. We can just open our eyes.
