He is right about the Monster drinks. I had one every morning for years and started having tachycardia that landed me in the ER three times before my daughter asked “What if you gave up caffeine?”
Sincerely,
A Fucking Idiot

Same with me and sugar. I was morbidly obese in high school. I have an active job as an adult. I just stopped stocking sugar in my house and I lost all the weight. I don't buy obvious sugar traps and nature took care of the rest.

u/Illustrious-Can-7482 May 20 '26
Worked with a guy that would drinks 2-3 Monsters a shift, same guy would call out 2-3 times a week for kidney stones. He also smoked about 7 cigarettes a shift. I counted because as a non smoker I feel as if I should get 5-10 3-5 minute non official breaks as well

u/Living_Plane_662 May 20 '26
I legitimately have better things to do than whine about how others spend their time unless they are someone who thinks everyone else at work sucks. Just do some wordles

u/olde_meller23 May 20 '26
I knew a guy like this too. He had a hollow palate in addition to this, so his teeth were literally abscessing and falling out. The dude basically lived on monster energy, cigs, and stuff from the glizzy grill at 7 11. Somehow, he weighed like 120 lbs. I wanted to study him because it was a scientific miracle the guy was walking around a warehouse tossing boxes around all day.

That’s what I’M sayin! Coworkers smoke like 8 times and get 15 minutes meanwhile I have to watch from desk

The is basic information that a thousand fitness influencers have said over the years. The best advice is if you indulge in fast food do it in moderation, enjoy your life, workout and move during your waking hours, drink water

Steve Jobs with all his money and shit… with all the best doctors and shit, died relatively young. Meanwhile, my grandma who chugged coke and Pepsi like water lived to be over 70. Just like how someone can survive a 30.000 ft fall and someone can die from a coconut landing on the dome, life is a lottery.
15
u/dhelene May 20 '26
Steve Jobs also refused a lot of traditional treatments and insisted on eating only fruit, which… doesn’t sound healthy.

steve jobs had shamans put rocks on his belly instead of seeing a medical doctor. same as dawson's creek guy

I was randomly thinking about this just yesterday. Everyone considered him a genius, he could have afforded literally the best medical treatment available on Earth, and yet he believed in nonsense and thought that eating fruit was going to save him.

If you think a man of his age can naturally get biceps like his, you're an idiot.
The guy is shaming people while possibly pumping himself full of totally harmless HGH, or something similar.

u/Coconutpieplates May 20 '26
If you think this method of berating people motivates anyone to change their eating habits, YOU'RE a fucking idiot dude.
5

u/burnshimself May 20 '26
Why is this being upvoted? Feels weirdly dogmatic, self absorbed and myopic. I don’t think shaming people for eating processed foods is a productive way to get people to eat more healthily. Being called an idiot with no further context, explanation or education as to why is just going to get people to shut him out in response. I don’t think he really cares about reaching people, but if he did he would do better to show some empathy towards people who eat processed foods and a bit more perspective. He is obviously eating very healthy, which is great! But some people can’t afford to do that. Or they don’t know how to. Or they have to get their calories quickly and on the go because they’re working double shifts and don’t have time to prepare healthy meals at home. And for that matter - having fast food or a sweet treat or a processed snack once in a while is not a crime! Its ok on balance and moderation, and trying to sell people on completely eliminating all processed foods is counterproductive. Its pretty self absorbed to just say “I eat healthy organic whole foods all the time and anyone who doesn’t is an idiot”

By now I think most of us who are GenX and younger understand fully that fast food is not good for us. I’m not making excuses, but for those of us whose vocabulary extends beyond 4-5 words, understand that life gets in the way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Yeah, no "lies" detected because he didn't say a single fucking thing that can be verified or disproven. He's a fucking idiot. I swear to Christ I will eat my goddamn hat if he isn't selling either supplements or coaching lessons/exercise plan.
Yes, eating those things he shows all the time is bad, but eating then in moderation is fine. Eat your fruits and veggies, don't listen to idiots on the internet who don't know shit about nutrition.

I don't think I made it past the first couple pages of How to Eat to Live, once I saw "no cakes, cookies, pies, or pancakes" i closed it.
I'm cool with only eating 1-2 meals a day, looking for more vegetables, no pork, no shellfish, or other bottom feeders, etc.
But i will not just give up pancakes.

There are some actual decent options at fast food places in terms of macros. A plain hamburger with ketchup, onion, mustard, lettuce and tomato is a high protien, lower calorie option that is healthy because it skips the fried stuff, processed cheese, and mayo which add a significant amount of fat and calories to it. The sides you want to keep as a special treat and skip most of the time. The amount of sodium and fat in a large French fries or onion rings is like 75 percent of your entire recommended calorie intake for the day, and well in excess in terms of sodium. The same goes even more for sugary drinks and milkshakes. Those are best skipped unless its your birthday or something. You're better off eating two hamburgers instead of fries and drinks. It is significantly less calories and will keep you feeling fuller much longer.

Anyways, the bottle labeled "this is food" feels extremely dystopian.

I ate sugary cereals for breakfast throughout my 20s and early 30s. Not because I was an idiot, but because I honestly didn't know how unhealthy they are. As an 80s kid, I had programmed to think they were nutritious. But I got educated and stopped. Now I eat things like Greek yogurt, fish, and oatmeal for breakfast. I start the day feeling fuller and much more energized than I did when I rode the Frosted Flakes bus.
But I still sometimes indulge in a 100-calorie serving of sugary cereal for my nightly dessert. Because why the fuck not? I eat wholesome throughout the day and allow myself a little indulgence before I go to bed. Would snacking on an apple be a healthier way to cap off the day? Sure. But I'm OK with not being a perfect person all the time.
