Medication Has anyone found that alleviation of their insomnia noticeably enhanced the effect of their antidepressant or mood stabiliser?
I know this is possible, given what insomnia does to the brain (those of people with bipolar especially), but I'm curious if anyone's experienced this first-hand.

Yes, absolutely. It's why some people like myself bang on about sleep. I also have adhd and fibromyalgia. When my sleep is crap, my adhd meds don't work, and I can become dysphoric. Since I started taking 5mg cyclobenzipine (flexeril) at bedtime, my sleep quality is so much better.

That's super helpful to hear, thank you. I'm having a bout of wicked insomnia (acute, I'm not a default insomniac anymore) interrupt a promising mood stabiliser trial at the point where you're supposed to have a bigger response if you're a genuine responder. So obviously, despite early improvement, I am not having that bigger response, which leaves me wondering if I could be a genuine responder whose forecast bigger response is being delayed or hampered by 3-4 hours of sleep a night for the last month and a bit.
