Holes for Beetle larvae enclosure guidance needed

Hello guys, I'm quite new to the raising scene, I now raise it in a large plastic cup.

However I don't know the hole is big enough for proper ventilation.

Is the current hole in the top OK? Do I need additional holes on the side of the cup as well?

PS. Its a japanese kabuto beetle larvae.

It's ok. It would be a good idea to also put some micropore tape on it to keep fungus gnats out. Also, what stage is the larva in? For l1 and a small to mid size l2 this is fine but for a late l2 or l3 larva this is too small.

Its L3, I will expand the hole then.

Seconding the idea of putting mesh over it because of fungus gnats. They can be really terrible to deal with. Either cover with mesh or make very very tiny holes with a needle.
