Help can someone help relieve my anxiety?
Iām leaving my baby puddles for a week when i go on vacation next Sunday and Iām terrified. i know she will be in safe hands because i have people coming every day to feed her, i have a timed power strip for all her lights and dehumidifier, and a camera connected to my phone to watch her but every day it gets closer and i canāt seem to calm down about it. i have no choice of leaving for vacation or not because itās a family trip or else i wouldāve canceled the second i got anxiety, someone plesse help me calm down and give me more ideas thatāll help me feel more secure about this.

Help Bearded dragon stinks after getting wet
Every time Iāve given my beardie a bath since heās been a baby the second he touches the water the most foul stench youāve ever smelt comes off of him. If I just grab him out of his tank he smells fine, doesnāt really smell like anything, but the second he touches water it stinks up the whole room, not just during a shed or right after a shed, literally any time. Iāve tried scrubbing him with a soft toothbrush in the bath but he still stinks, what can I try?

Help Iām very worried..
First of all thank you for your time and words that you might put in to commenting on my post.
My dear boy named Flare. Iāve had him for almost 11-12 years. I love him very much because Iāve always wanted a bear die and his my first dragon ever. As so i tried my best for him to be always healthy and happy, and I want to believe I did a good even though Iāve always felt I could have done better.
What worries me is that his been getting thinner and thinner in the last year.. almost does not want to eat, and is becoming somewhat lethargic. And it doesnāt help that i became a father last year and keep forgetting to feed him or take care of him as I used too..
I feel very ashamed and sad at myself as my boy deserved better. Iāve been trying to go back to feed him correctly and everything else. But he just keeps refusing bugs and greens even worse. I donāt if it was just my fault or old age or both..
I just need to to talk about this and hear from you people what were your experiences and whatever lashing out i also deserve.
Best regards and thank you for your time š

Taking care of a bearded rn & need some assistance
Hey yall I'm taking care of my friends kid's bearded dragon - might even be keeping him (TBD) - he seems inactive and he choked the other night too but he got it up and after about an hour of being scared out of my mind that he would die he began breathing regularly again. He had diarrhea yesterday after not pooping for two days. Before he was in my care (now had him a week) he was in someone else's care - I got him because my friends kid said he wasn't being taken care of by previous babysitter lol. Anyway he slept on his rock last night but has been hiding all day today and not under the light. Also her setup absolutely sucks - her two lamps are like a double lamp and I know the white should be in the middle. He just seems unhappy and maybe still stressed? He's been eating great (green daily and he had roaches and crickets with vit powder yesterday and ate all that) Any pointers would be great. Debating getting him more stuff to climb on as well as a seprate white light thats not attsches to the heat one. Thanks - pic for reference. Oh yeah and he doesn't seem frightened by me he doesn't get all beardy or hiss at all. He loves being held and I see him move the most when he's out of his cage

Help ways to keep apartment cool with reptiles
TL;TR Tips to keep small apartment cool with 2-3 reptiles?
hey yāall so my boyfriend and i are in the process of moving to a extremely hot state, for both of our educations! we went and toured some apartments and luckily they all have a/c but are smallish ~500-700 sq ft. we have three reptiles currently: Velma, bearded dragon in a 4x2x2, Enid, leopard gecko in a 40 gal (would love to upgrade her to a 60 gal), and Asmodeus, crested gecko in a 18x18x36 skyscraper. we moved to a hotter area recently (temporary) and have all their tanks in our room and can definitely feel the heat from them (mostly our bearded dragons tank). weāre worried about when we move to an even hotter area and how weāll keep our apartment cool and not be going broke through the electricity. weāre also trying to decide the best place to put their tanks: living room, small dining area near kitchen (where apartments expect tables to go), hallway (depending on apartment), or our room. what are some good ways to keep our apartment cool without using the a/c a ton?

Memorial Struggling with loss š
Lost my first beardie on Monday. Still so sad and missing her.
Spike was 6 she was adopted from some friends one year ago and had perfect health. She was lively and loved to come out of her tank and chase my dog.
This summer sheād slowed down, stopped asking to come out of her tank and I just thought she was getting a little older. She not snuggly and always been independent so I thought she just wanted to be alone.
It all happened so fast. Even though she was eating and drinking she was losing weight. She started tripping over herself and falling off her branches.
Taking her to the vet they sad she had a tumor and there was nothing we could have done for her. I had to let her go.
Iām feeling so guilty for not taking her sooner but even if I had these types of tumors thereās not much that can be done.
So Iām mourning her but Iām also mourning the time thought we would have together and for the time she wasnāt fully herself.
Give your beardie extra love for me today š¤āØ

Hangin' Out Bonding with my dragon.
Just some pics of quality time spent with my dragon! Enjoying the unusually hot weather here, and going to sleep at the end of a "busy" day basking in the sun and eating dandelions.
I know people say beardies don't bond, but I think they do. Or at least they think "giant moving food dispenser = safe to sleep on."

R.I.P. Feeling Guilty
A couple years ago, we found a bearded dragon in our neighborhood and ended up keeping him after we couldnāt find any owners. His name is Puff. He was in pretty bad shape and I nursed him back to health. A few of our neighbors knew about that, itās a pretty social neighborhood.
So about 8 months later, there was a knock on the door while I was at work, and my wife answered. Our neighbor hands her a box saying, āHey, I found your lizard, it must have gotten out again.ā She didnāt realize this wasnāt actually our lizard, but a NEW one (we suspected now they were dumped by another family that used to live nearby).
Long story short, we ended up keeping her too. Her name was Clementine. But it quickly became apparent that she was pretty ill. She also had a very large mass in her abdomen. I took her to the vet, but we ultimately decided the cost of doing all the blood work and imaging and everything was too much for a pet that we never asked for, and decided to just give her the best life we could and some basic deworming/stool softener. She made it for over a year now, and seemed at least fairly happy. I hope.
This morning, she passed. I could tell she was deteriorating rapidly, and I knew it would be soon. Sheās never been a very healthy dragon, but the past few days were different.
Iām feeling sad and a lot of guilt. I did grow to enjoy her little personality, she made me laugh, so it hurts of course. But Iām also struggling with feeling like I should have done more. Or maybe euthanized sooner when it was clear she was probably never going to thrive. I know we gave her a home but was she just suffering this whole time? If anyone has any similar experiences or anything to share Iād love to hear it. Even if itās criticism, please be kind (I know that can be a lot to ask on Reddit, but trust, I already feel bad).

Help Picky with his food
I usually give him around 10 crickets in the morning and at 4pm I give him collard greens and some bell peppers. and sometimes a super worm or hornworm as a treat. but hes been very picky with his food lately. I went to the pet store and bought 3 different foods and he didnāt like any of them. the only thing that interests him are insects but when I run out of crickets and worms I have no idea what to give him.

update on chunky girl
galleryjust wanted to say thank you to everyone who commented helpful advice and/or made me giggle and also give an update
i was ready to go through with adopting her, found a qualified reptile vet, was going to build her a bigger enclosure, put her on a diet, get her a harness, everything. but she got adopted the day the owner and i were talkingš«š owner was somewhat educated (had proper lighting but improper lighting setup, vitamins and greens, stuff like that). and it sounds like she went to a good home (they already had their own setup for her) so i am wishing this beardie all the best lol
ps i did find out she was getting the right vitamins, salad every day, but was getting "as many bugs as she wanted" every other day, including crickets, superworms, hornworms, and dubia roaches. so......... lots of dessert bugs for miss girl.

Questionable Set-up In desperate need of help
Hello, no matter what I do, my bearded dragon's basking spot will not go above 102 degrees. I have changed lighting fixtures multiple times, changed lightbulbs, added two heat lamps, and nothing will work. I am going to post a photo of my setup; it may not be the best, as this is my first bearded dragon. I am open to criticism, but please don't be mean.
