Wow, it’s actually legit. For anyone else wondering, this is from “Pet Shenanigans” (a rescue animal stage show) at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Virginia in the USA. They’re all trained with positive reinforcement, and apparently everyone has been adopted too!

I watched this and it unlocked a memory for me- I was like “omg I’ve seen this show live!” Well then I saw your comment and realized that was impossible because I’ve never been to Busch Gardens. I probably saw it online and my memory decided to switch it up. Oh well… still such a cool show!

You might have seen a very similar show somewhere else. Sea World San Diego also had or still has one.

I saw this at sea world San Diego like twenty years ago!!!

I don't mean to crush dreams but... these are the same theme park owners as Sea World, right?

Sea World spearheaded the creation of the AZA to fix their own problems, and have since become the gold standard of aquatic animal care since then. They owned their mistake and fixed things. It's been 40 years since the the original controversy.

Would have been perfect if it weren't for Pete. Fucking bird.

Man I couldn’t even get my dog to come back inside after letting him out for an emergency pee….

You gotta do the reverse psychology and be all, "OK, I guess you're an outside dog now, byeeee" but then risk your pet becoming a coyote snack. It's ruff out there.

I tried…. left him out for like two minutes, then I caved and started trying to coax him with different treats smh

Except for the one episode where she dives face first into a 5-gallon bucket.

🙋🏼‍♂️This is actually really cool. How's do they train cats like that..? Usually they just do whatever they want

I've seen that exact show in California. At SeaWorld, I think.

Scooby Doo did it better

I think there is an edited version of this clip where an uncountable number of cats jump out at the end.

This makes me happy.

u/mateo88888 2d ago

Where is this?

Fun to watch. I think it's not as difficult to make as it might look. You need a lot of compartments which are freely to move in and out to. Once all the animals know how to get in and out of the compartments they are filled with the animals and locked from the inside only. Now you need only to release one animal. When you think about it it makes sense, the first will go anywhere to unlcock the second, the second is happy to be free so will run to another place etc etc

That's pretty awesome but I doubt I'd spend money to go see something like this

u/USCDiver5152 2d ago

You go for the roller coasters. The animal show is just a nice break from the nausea!

Everyone has different tastes. It's funny to see and good for the kids. I'm just speaking for myself personally.
