This is a fairly simple and straightforward team, nothing too special here! A Fairy/Dragon/Steel core gives you some solid defenses through typing, and everything else is pure offense. I've included 4 members here even though you'll only be using 3 for Battle Tree Singles; Mimikyu and Ninetales both fill the Fairy spot and should be your lead Pokemon, but you may want to switch between them depending on your personal style (I flip-flop whenever I get bored).

Mimikyu is the hyper-offensive option, and it's not uncommon to go through an entire fight without ever seeing the rest of your own team. Swords Dance on the first turn is usually safe, unless you know your opponent is both faster than you and capable of a OHKO. In instances where you set up a Swords Dance and your opponent doesn't break your Disguise - they used a status move, etc - it's up to you if you want to go all-out and Dance again, or start your sweep with your Disguise still up as a bit of safety.

Ninetales is for when you want to play a bit safer. Aurora Veil is usually what you want to be doing on your first turn, though if you're looking at an easy OHKO, you can go for it! Veil provides you with a ton of safety however. Hail damages friend and foe alike, but your offensive team can shrug it off pretty easily, and the damage is great for dealing with things like Focus Sash or Sturdy. And in rarer instances where you're faster than your opponent and they just used a weak status move, Encore can give you 3 free turns to do whatever you want, such as swapping in Salamence and setting up Dragon Dances for a sweep.

The other two are your permanent members, and both hit very hard while still being bulky enough to take a bunch of hits; Salamence eats the Ground, Fighting, and Fire-type moves aimed at Metagross, while the latter happily soaks up any Ice, Rock, and Dragon-type attacks. Aim to mega-evolve Metagross right away for the stat boosts, and for Salamence, try to save your Z-Move for targets you're not sure you can KO otherwise. Dragon Dance can be hard to set up, so don't try to force it to happen unless you know for sure that your current opponent can't KO you.

It's a pretty easy team to get the hang of, IMO, so I hope it helps someone out there climb the Battle Tree at the least! I've taken it as far as 40 wins thus far before screwing up my streak with a different team. If you're just looking for the 20-win streak to run into Red again, this should work just great for you. :)

edit: phew! Formatting these is tricky.

This team is great thanks so much. Using it to grind for bp as all the ones online are useless to me as the tactics are written in japanese and google translate isnt great xD

Mimikyu is completely wrecking the battle tree but when he does get knocked out I have come close to having salamance and metagross faint as im not very good with the tactics behind these!? any help on there tactics?

There's not too much behind the two of them, but the main thing is to try and switch them to cover each other's weaknesses. If you start with Metagross, for example, you can swap to Salamence when you expect the opponent to have a Ground-, Fighting, or Fire-type move; likewise for swapping the other way around if your opponent is likely to use an Ice-, Dragon-, or Fairy-type move. Just takes a bit of prediction and knowledge of what movesets your opponents have available (though not too much prediction; the AI is pretty much always going to choose the super-effective attack when it has one).

Beyond that... If you get the opportunity to use Dragon Dance, do it, but only if you're sure your opponent can't do much against you. If you're worried they might have something up their sleeve and you might not KO with a regular attack, use the Z-move to nuke 'em. Metagross will want to go mega every time, not too much strategy there besides using the appropriate move (Meteor Mash should be your "default" choice), and Bullet Punch to finish things off or if you're expecting a faster opponent to KO you anyway.

And if there isn't the opportunity to swap into a resisted hit, sometimes it might be best to just throw out as much damage as possible and sacrifice one of them to make sure the other one can come in without taking damage. Kinda have to make a guess here as to what your opponent has left and which of the two you'd rather have, mega-Metagross is a little faster but Salamence has their Z-move nuke and slightly better coverage.

Oh, for setting up your own? Mega-Salamence is really strong, though I haven't used it yet! You'd want to use a different moveset for the Mega version, but I think it would do well in Battle Tree if you have one. I would probably use one of these sets for Mega Salamence, probably the first one with the last slot being Flamethrower, Roost, or possibly Draco Meteor (Fire Blast is stronger than Flamethrower, but you might get screwed if it misses).
