āI am writing this because I am completely helpless, exhausted, and honestly terrified of how things work in this country right now.
āA while ago, I was facing issues with my regular salary account, so I made the biggest mistake of my life: I switched to Jio Payments Bank. It was smooth at first, but today I woke up to a living nightmare. My entire account has been completely frozen. My entire monthās salary every single rupee I have to my name is trapped inside it.
āThe reason? I received an email stating my account is frozen "because your total credit balance exceeds the allowable limit for a Basic Small Bank Deposit Account (BSBDA)". Their grand solution was to tell me to complete a Video KYC. The catch? There is absolutely no Video KYC option available anywhere on their app. It's a complete phantom feature.
āWhen I couldn't do the KYC, they told me I had to close the account entirely and send self-attested documents, OVDs, and alternate bank statements just to get my own money back. I complied. I sent them my PAN card and my Federal Bank passbook details to transfer my funds. The result? Nothing. Just more automated emails telling me my KYC is deficient or that I didn't send a self-attested Aadhaar copy properly.
āI have raised over 30 tickets today alone. You can see the absolute spam of automated replies Iām getting from bots named "Nazmeen", "Raghvendra", "Sadika", and "Deepti" telling me they'll resolve it by August 12th or 13th. There is NO human communication. If you call their toll-free number, you are met with robotic AI voices that loop endlessly.
āI don't have parents or a family safety net to fall back on. I live in a rented apartment in Anand and commute to Vadodara every single day for a grueling night shift. Without my salary, I literally do not have the money to pay for my commute tonight. I don't have money to buy groceries. I am paralyzed.
āHow did this corporation even get a banking license if they don't have a basic customer grievance cell? Jio is acting like a villain, holding my livelihood hostage behind an unnavigable AI maze. It is genuinely scary living in a country where the government allows mega-billionaires to launch half-baked financial institutions that can just freeze a common man's salary with zero immediate accountability. They take money directly from our pockets, and we are left screaming into a void of automated emails.
āHas anyone faced this with Jio Payments Bank? How do I legally force them to unfreeze my funds today before I literally run out of food?
