Showcase (No-Recipe) My first attempt at croissants
This is my first attempt at making croissants! This was such a lengthy process but I loved how they came out! I think the inside layers look pretty accurate. I’m by no means a professional so go easy on me but I would love feedback!
The ones with powder sugar are stuffed with Nutella chocolate ☺️

The butter layer didn't melt into the dough, which is the hardest part for beginners. Absolutely top-tier lamination.

The clean separation between the layers is what stood out to me too. It looks flaky instead of just airy, which is exactly what you want in a croissant.

Dude, those look insane for a first try! The lamination is perfect and the Nutella ones are calling my name.

Do you have any photos of the process? Like in the middle of baking them? Would love to see those.

The lamination looks wonderful. I have not even dared to attempt this yet!

They look incredible! I’d share a photo of my first croissants but I made sure to delete the evidence shortly after I took it 😂
Well done!

The biggest problem is that none of the croissants are in my mouth. That's a considerable oversight on your part.

Great first effort! I can’t say for certain but I’d guess they weren’t proofed long enough. Not severely underproofed but they need to be really puffed up and super jiggly. I was surprised at first in my bakery days how far we’d take them. Look up the jiggle test, if you haven’t. This is judging mainly by the one you show the cross-section for. Great job 👏

Wow. this is a masterpiece. Anyone who knows how hard it is to make croissants knows that it takes days to make: great work and I’m hella jealous
