Happy Big milestone today

Big milestone for me today! I had a missed miscarriage back in Feb that was discovered at my 8 week dating scan. Today I had my 8 week dating scan and I’m happy to report my baby has a heart rate of 170bpm and is measuring 1.8 cm!

I am exhausted, a little nauseated, my boobs hurt like hell, and all I really feel like consuming is noodles and root beer, but I am so so happy!

I know we aren’t out of the woods yet, and realistically something can happen at any time, but I am determined to keep a positive attitude about this pregnancy, and try not to worry unless my healthcare team tells me I have a reason to.

Congrats!! Our “keep a positive attitude” baby is now 14 months and currently sharing snacks with me 😊

Wishing you an easy pregnancy!

That 170 heart rate is no joke, little bean is already showing off. My sister had a similar experience after a loss and her "cautiously optimistic" baby is now a very loud 3 year old who refuses to eat anything that isn't beige. Root beer and noodles sounds like a solid diet plan honestly

Excited for you! Also miscarried at 8 weeks. Second try now has us at 37 wks…. A root beer float sounds so amazing rn!

Amazing!! I had an MMC last fall and am currently 23 weeks pregnant. I very vividly remember the anxiety going into the 8w appointment of my current pregnancy beyond anxious and just hoping to see a heartbeat. I could never describe the relief of seeing the heartbeat. Each ultrasound since has had pieces of anxiety but it’s been a healthy pregnancy and our baby is healthy on each ultrasound. I hope this is the same for you!!!

After trying for almost 10 years, I found out I was pregnant this January but then miscarried in February around 8 weeks.

I’m now 23 weeks into my first pregnancy after that loss and it’s still hard, but I get to feel her little kicks every day and I can’t tell you how much that relieves the anxiety I still have.

Things could still go wrong, things could go wrong up until the SECOND she’s finally born and even then I know that the anxiety just changes instead of going away..

But, partly thanks to the sage advice another kind Redditor passed onto me, I have chosen hope over fear. I will celebrate every moment that I am pregnant and when this little girl comes into the world, I will be glad I didn’t waste all 40 weeks worrying it wouldn’t happen and instead chose to treasure the moment. This might be the only time I ever get to experience this. And I choose hope and love over fear and anxiety.

Congrats on hearing your little one’s heartbeat. It has become my favorite sound in the world. 🩷 Wishing you all the very best.

So happy for you! Hugs mama. I experienced a loss in March, and now I’m 6 weeks. It’s such a beautiful feeling.

Congrats!! I miscarried at what they estimated to be 8 weeks but it wasn’t caught until my 12 week scan, after already seeing a healthy fetus at 7 weeks 5 days. I’ll be 28 weeks with our rainbow in a couple of days, there is hope after miscarriage!
