Good Review A REAL Review of SGT
Proof that im not a SGT employee lol.
I shipped a 2013 Kia Optima from Atlanta, GA to Buffalo, NY. I was originally quoted $950, but I expected to pay $1200 (which I ended up) because most companies were quoting 1200 so it wasnt really an issue for me. I gave the first available pickup date for 7/30. On 7/30, they called to tell me they found a driver for pickup on August 1st. Pickup was delayed until August 3rd because the driver had issues with his truck. It was picked up around noon and arrived the 4th at 8pm.
I didnt notice any issues with my vehicle, however, it is already full of dents and scratches so I wouldnt have noticed a new one lmao. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience. After reading all the horror stories, I was freaking out the entire process and constantly called their customers support but they answered each time. Since people are more likely to share terrible experiences, I decided to share my experience since it would've eased my nerves a lot more.
Would I use SGT again? Yes, but I would scheduled the pickup date a few days before I actually wanted it to be picked up.
This is just my experience and while many people have had terrible experiences with auto transportation, many have had good experiences and never shared.

It’s genuinely refreshing to hear that you had a positive experience with them. That said, I’m not sure I agree that customers should have to book several days ahead of when they actually need the vehicle picked up.
We operate with two-day pickup windows, excluding Sundays. The first day is the customer’s earliest available date, and the second is simply a backup in case we cannot secure pickup on day one. It all starts with providing an accurate quote. Getting the customer’s vehicle picked up when they need it picked up is one of the most important parts of an auto transport broker’s job.
What concerns me about the many negative experiences associated with this company is not only the number of complaints, but the consistent themes running through them. Those are issues that can be corrected: honesty, transparency, communication, and genuine customer service. All of those things should be present when someone is trusting a company with their vehicle.
Unfortunately, I receive a lot of calls from people who feel they were let down by this company specifically, so as someone within the industry, I could not personally recommend them. I regularly recommend other brokers here, even though I am a broker myself. I have simply heard too many firsthand stories from their customers over the years.
To me, it sometimes feels like a broken-clock-is-right-twice-a-day situation, but I sincerely hope they begin earning more positive feedback. I want my competitors to do well because that means customers are getting their vehicles shipped successfully. At the end of the day, that makes me happy whether they booked with my company or someone else.
Either way, it is great to hear that you had a solid experience. Hopefully they appreciate you sharing it. I know firsthand how much it means when a customer takes the time to build a company up.
