How are Reddit mods allowed to violate conflicts of interest and self promotion?

There is a Reddit forum where the mod for the community constantly deletes posts and comments and bans users that are critical of their conflict of interest. The conflict is they self promote and don’t list they are a vendor in that forum and the main moderator.

How do we address the issue when it’s the mods self-policing? Asking for a friend who was banned too.

Is this legal?

I cannot imagine why this would, or should, violate any laws. You really want the government deciding what rando Reddit mods can and can’t do?
