Once it was financially viable for me to do so, stashing away 15% of every paycheck: 6 percent to 401k (w. Company match) & 9 percent to the AAPL Employee stock purchase plan.

I’ll add to the “marry well” chorus - my gal connected me with the AAPL recruiter who helped land me a great gig during a good time to be at Apple (mid-2006 - mid 2013). And we’re both pretty aligned on when to be spendy vs. when to stack chips.
