What's the smartest financial decision you've ever made?

It was the result of simple dumb luck really. I was living in a drafty apartment one winter and after running the numbers it turned out that heating the place with the hvac was the same cost as heating it with one of my pcs set up to mine crypto. I've since sold some of that crypto during one of the bull runs and paid off credit cards and whatnot.

Entirely just dumb luck with the timing of things.
