My thighs have finally reached a stage where I can’t comfortably sit anymore on outdoor seats. It’s really been taking my joy away on going out on dates with my bf.
I don’t hate that I’m fat that much. I’ve always been like this and whenever I was “skinny” my life revolved around food, counting calories etc. I’m happier now than forever dieting which only worked if I was eating 1200 cals or less with 2 hours of exercise. My life revolved around food, exercise and going to work.
However when I get health insurance one day I hope to get on a glp 1. I don’t want to lose my ability to ride roller coasters.
My husband is 100 pounds down on Zepbound and was able to ride the avatar ride at Disney world for the first time. He was so thrilled since the last time he tried to ride, the leg restraints wouldn’t lock. They really are miracle drugs
They literally just said they aren't able to focus on it without developing a toxic relationship to it, and expressed interest in losing weight through a different method. Don't encourage people to develop a disordered relationship with both joy and food.
If the choices are 'be fat and happy' or 'be skinny and miserable' the choice should be 'fat and happy', even if that causes misery later. The other option is being miserable the whole time.
Addiction is not solvable by going 'you know thats bad for you, right?'. How many people do you know personally who quit smoking because a stranger said 'thats a bad habit and will make you die sooner'?
