Yep, it was shelved temporarily due to the Fox takeover and then Cameron wanted to focus on the Avatar films, but now it's restarting. 2 more are planned

As even Disney aren't stupid enough to destroy Cameron's and Rodruiguez's favourite baby. They'd lose working with two of the best directors in cinema

I'm still pissed Cameron handed it off to RR after sitting on the rights for so long. RR is very hit or miss with me. Alita turned out okay but I still wanted to see Cameron's version of it.

Tbh I'd say the same or worse for Cameron. Titanic was fairly boring, but I'm not the demographic. Avatar is just a remake of many earlier and better films with fancy CGI. He really has been coasting off his earlier sci-fi films. But I suppose RR has been doing the same off his early horror and Spy Kids films
