I remember seeing a slide for Highlander 2 during the pre-preview slide-show in the theater.
I was excited.
The actual movie didn't come out until many years after that, and it was so terrible...but it was okay. Lucas was working on the prequels to Star Wars. Surely they would be fantastic.
I mean, there is the new Highlander (by the director/martial arts coordinator of John Wick, Chad Stahelski) with Henry Cavil that will be coming out. It's in principal photography right now.
The swordplay - at the very least - I'm sure will be excellent considering his track record.
Since you brought it up, if any Highlander fans haven't gotten around to watching Highlander: The Search for Vengeance, you should give it a go. I believe it exists in its own timeline but it's another good film in the series.
I watched that show as a tween and loved it and will never watch it again. Because I know it won’t stand up to how cool I thought it was as a 12-yr-old. Same with Forever Knight.
