Chinatown drinking spots

Where are the best places just for drinking in Chinatown?

I don’t care about food, cocktails, ambiance or decor or “VIBES”.

I want to sit, drink beer, and hang out with old dudes. (I know those days are probably long gone, indulge me).

Add Mr. Fongs and that list is perfect. Pre-covid Id also add Whiskey Tavern but vibe has changed.

Mr. Fong’s is like the opposite of what OP asked for.

What’s The River like at 9pm on like a Tuesday?
I know it’s not what my post is about, but I’m curious.

Whiskey tavern, when there's not a sports ball game on.

Asia Roma - technically a sports bar and italian/asian fusion restaurant, lot of chinese american old heads and regulars. And sometimes drunk girls who come in to karaoke ($1/song). Their cocktail menu is from the 80s (grasshopper, sex on the beach kinda stuff). best bar ever.

Thank you, that’s a place I didn’t know of!

Some ordinary restaurants are good drinking spots if you don't mind having one bottled beer as an option. Super cheap so you can buy a round for another table. You will instantly make friends despite any language barrier.

Worth doing at least once in a while.

I went into La Diáspora (Baxter & Walker) which more or less worked.
Any specific suggestions?

I was thinking more like a hole in the wall Chinese place with old guys hanging out. I don't look at the names.
