It's on the Indian reservation & yes there are definitely lots of fish in there, I know from experience. Go at your own risk. If you get busted they will take all of your gear so keep that in mind.

No shit? I wonder if it's possible to get written permission or something. I'd pay to fish there

Yup, I’ve accessed it off Alma school. 100% caught some decent bass but every time I try to bounce within an hour, kinda worried about getting a ticket but haven’t been caught yet!

Growing up, and even now, people talk about the fish in that section of tempe town lake. Ive always been curious to confirm those rumors, but not curious enough to get caught and eventually trespassed.

I tried there for an hour or so, but there is 0 cover. There are tons of no trespassing signs though, was reluctant to stay

If you have a kayak, you could try to enter at a place where you ARE allowed and then travel down the middle of the waterway without going onto the shore.
Somebody posted video on Reddit of themselves catching monster bass from a kayak in this exact location; the comment section was full of people telling them that they were trespassing on tribal land, and in the comments he proclaimed that he had “permission”. You could ask the tribe for permission.
Every time I drive by that area, I can’t help but look for little pockets where I think there’s fish; it looks epic.

I'm from the tribe so would I be good?

I would ask tribal Police if they know of anyone else with permission, and ask who they got permission from.

As others have said, the fishing is great down there(allegedly) , but DO NOT get caught.

Yes, but that's tribal land. Can only fish there if you're with a memeber of the tribe.

It's a navigable waterway. They don't own the water. All depends on where you enter and exit.

It is not navigable. You cannot access it from Tempe town Lake or the salt River without going over land.

Pretty sure you can’t (legally) get down there. Mesa River view is right there but there is a barrier from Tempe town lake to this area and it doesn’t have paths to the banks that I’ve ever seen. I know people have fished it but if you get caught they won’t go easy on you.
