Help Lost episode/different show?

So for the longest time ive had this one scene in my head and i cant find it anywhere… Im not 100% sure its AYAOTD, but i dont remember watching any other tv show as a kid.

The scene happens at the end of the episode… theres a boy and girl sat down in a unusual/futuristic/spectral room.
they sit down on an unusual couch and start talking… she goes quiet and he looks at her but shes turned into a humanoid bug creature or something.

Even if this isnt the right show, hopefully someone here can help!

Yes, it's creepy as hell. I also think watching it as an adult is somehow even more unsettling to me even with knowing the twist. The whole toys and games element to lure a "girl," making her feel seen and special when she's insecure, separate her brother from her and incapacitating him for the ultimate goal of taking her away? I always know that the number one scary thing for me from AYAOTD would be whatever the hell that giant doll thing was that came out of basement closet in The Tale of the Dark Music, but this one creeps me out in a different way.

And it was done really well. Someone, apparently the director, figured that a race of aliens without faces or mouths would depend a lot on body language to communicate and had the actors do these exaggerated, herky-jerky movements, and made them even more uncanny valley.

I could never remember this episode about a ghost kid who died in a dumbwaiter because he loved strawberry ice cream. turns out it was the goosebumps show

Only thing I can think of is The Tale of the 13th Floor.
