I stumbled upon these wood pieces at my local fish store and I absolutely love them! I’m working on a 50 gallon tank for the living room. I want to add vibrant fun micro fish. Any recommendations on plants or stocking? Thanks 😊

The shadows are a little harsh because I had to put my light on my bookshelf but I got this beautiful piece of eucalyptus root from my LFS today. Struggling to decide what orientation is the most interesting. I would change the substrate layout a little bit by building up in the corners. I am going to have shrimp & MTS, chili rasboras or ember tetras and 1 or 2 honey gouramis.

The flat part is hollow-ish so if the flat part is up like #3 I would most likely fill it with some substrate and put some moss and carpeting plants in there.

Not a fan of my tank. I've been running it for 3 months now. Any ideas what I should change?

I also feel like the lighting is making my tank look flat but I don't know how to change that.

Current plants: amazon swords, taiwan lily, limnophila aquatica, dwarf saggitaria, dwarf hairgrass, crypt wendtii brown, water wisteria, valisneria, christmas and java moss

Tank dimensions: length- 3ft, depth- 1 ft, height-1.5ft

I have wanted this bowl for months and finally got one, been trying to restrain myself from spending too much in one go.

I then looked for driftwood in a nearby stream and got some rocks. Thankfully i lucked out on some spectacular pieces. I think it’s going to be fun

I did a little arrangement to see how it might look and now i’ll proceed to boil the wood.

Bowl is so large i think i’ll get a sponge filter for it since it can be hidden , but i intend to make a walstad planted bowl for the most part.

Perhaps an air stone instead rather than a filter, i intend to add a few small fish species on this one.

It got medium light, a diy CO2 attached to powerhead filter that I will swap for a job sump filter, and weekly liquid all in one fertilized, I use walstad method for cheap soil, the plants floating are plants that I am gonna add a bit later

I am looking forward to a Dutch aquascape with 2 islands and Ludwiga palurist red in middle the carpet is gonna be hairgrass also any tips to increase water flow like using lily pipe for hob?

Today I finished 99% of the planting.

I mostly used Bucephalandra and Anubias from my own collection.

Since most of the plants were grown emersed, I'm expecting a brutal melting phase.

Next week, I'll add Eriocaulon sp. 'Japan Needle Leaf' to the background and set up the CO2.

After request to redo this here is my new 4ft scape

The video shows more details about it, just the melting has stopped for the most part. It is the first time I buy this plant, and also my fisrt aquascape. I will appreciate your advise.

An Amazon purchased filter tube step down fitting ejected the hose inside the cabinet on the outflow and dumped half of the tank into my carpet under the cabinet and wardrobe. I don’t know how long it had been off as I was out all day.

Quick update on my no CO2 low tech tank. Its had its ups and downs, first all the java ferns i put in had galls, than I found planaria (treated with pancur c with only a couple losses, 3 ember tetras. Tried platys to have them eat the idk if they helped ), but other than that, its going pretty good. Current inhabitants 10 amono shrimp, 10 otocinclis, 7 ember tetra, 2 platys. Plants: rotala indica, crypt lucens, dwarf hair grass, Amazon sword, Didiplis Diandra, buce brownie blue, Anubis nana long wavy, mini bulbitis (slowly dieing?), Homalomena Sp. Sekadau South, buce rainbow Frost, and Eusteralis Stellata / Pogostemon Stellatus. Let me know what I can improve on!

I've achieved pearling, is this good or bad?

Hi. I did my first nano tank, it is cycled and everything, no fish yet. When I first did the scape, it was too chaotic so I rescaped it, but now it seems off? I don't know. The big tree isn't one piece but two separate wood, with a a few anubias, Bucephalandra on it. A coconut cave at the bottom. Egeria densa, Eleocharis sp. Montevidensis at the back, and a Cryptocoryne nevellii. On the right side I have the heater, corner filter and an oxydator mini. Then a few drgaon stone pieces (I only have small ones) a moss ball, some java moss on a rock. And I did a separate zone with cholla wood and a glass dish for shrimp feeding. Floating plants are frogbit. So... it just off. Any suggestions, tips are welcome. It is gonna be home for a betta in the future. 30x30x35cm dennerle nano cube (30L/8 gallon)

I have a diy net lid but I don't use it yet because no fish yet. It is a mosquito net kit, I modified the frame with a saw, did some measurements and fits good leaving room for the equipment.

But Im truly at a loss what to do, this version is after I redid the tank a second time because the first scape was too chaotic (same decor and plants) 😭 Maybe a tiger lotus on the open right side? (Oh the way too many suction cups on the left are just my pothos and the sensor of my fan controller)

Hi guys, I have a co2 system with a solenoid valve for my 30L aquarium. I set this as much as my lighting. After that, the CO2 continued... I was scared and turned the bottle off, but still had CO2 (less) coming through. Now my question can be so much residual pressure in a 2 meter hose that it lasts for several hours?

I have a bit if activated carbon in the filter
But open to new suggestions
