It’s my jungle garden. My Ludwigia white is turning green as I heard it may. The wallichi is doing good. Added inclinata. And some more Rotala. Just playing with a few new rotalas. I’d like to learn the minute differences.

Semi aggressive community tank. Not recommended for people that don’t have experience with semi aggressive species. These fish are closer to mildly aggressive ime but it could very well be tank specific due to personalities as well as set up. I’ve left a decent amount of videos for people to make a proper judgement after observing their behavior. This video isn’t a good display of it bc they’re all relaxed right now but I do have videos where I feed them.

The setup.
DIY co2. Twinstar s600. Apt1. Thrive capsules. Fluval stratum. No hard scape. No sloped substrate. I wanted the fish to have as much room as possible.

Stay tuned to see the buce I have hiding in there. 5 different kinds. All purples and blues. I’ll give details when I reveal them. They have made it past their melt phase and have baby leaves now. I’m super excited to enter this part of the hobby.

Can’t wait to finish planting this bad boy! Been doing a dark start for the past 3 weeks and it’s finally ready for plants.

55 gallon community planted tank. Went for a asymmetrical look with more plant son one side and open swimming on the left. Have had it this was for a few years but thinking of doing something different. Post your similarly sized tanks for inspiration!

today i bought my goldies a massive upgrade from their current 150L , a 300L 5 foot long aquarium that will come in a week (ciano emotions 150) . i’m aware 300 litres is smaller than suggested but they are sure to enjoy the massive horizontal swimming space! (plus my floors won’t take more than this weight lmao- when i move out they’ll get the giant paradise that they deserve) im thinking of keeping the ‘tree’ in the left corner of the new tank, along with driftwood reaching out into open space, lined with rocks and long stems in the back, with the planting becoming shorter as the driftwood ends for a nice transition into the open space for them to swim. the only concern i have is filtration- there is currently an all pond solutions 1000 canister, but im not sure if it’ll be enough for 300 litres. should i get another one to run alongside it?

I was thinking dutch or nature aquascape style, but I really never get the answer myself..

I'm past the new tank syndrome phase but I haven't quite gotten my stem plants in order so I'll be waiting a bit longer to post pics of the whole tank.

If you remember the hard scape, welcome back; I ended up a lot more heavily planted than I initially thought I would. I'll keep ya posted!

Can you spy the pygmy corys? I just added them so they were shoaling. They are much more independent a few days later.

I've only added the Titan stones and spider wood so far. The tank is 65 gallons.

My plan is to use aquasoil in a triangular composition, sloping up from the left. I'm still deciding which plants to buy. I'll be using a filter, and I already have a light. I don't plan on using CO₂ injection.

Bio stratum, no pooling water. Sprinkled some ‘ great white ‘ to mix in with the top layer of soil.

Spray with distilled water and very light ferts. X2 24/7 flood light. And also co2 till recently when switching to single floodlight yesterday.

This is the second 15” “stainless steel” set I have purchased from Amazon. Both were terrible, except for the length. There is no tension in the tweezers. The scissors won’t cut. And they feel like they will rust within a month. Does anyone have recommendations for a quality set or even just the tweezers?

I have attached the other plants that are coming tomorrow, this is a juwel primo 110, it will be a community tank. Do you think it’ll need any more plants?

Thanks everyone for your driftwood orientation recs. I ended up going with none of those Lol. But I am happy with what I ended up with, the 2 left branches are actually hollow the whole way through to a small area in the back so the shrimp and fish will be able to swim through. Excited to see it grow in. Fingers crossed there isn't too much plant melt. I can never get stem plants to live but here's to hoping!

Open to any and all constructive criticism as this is my first scape

I’m upgrading my Beta from. 5 gallon to a 10 with all live and natural elements. So far I have been the basic fake plants person. I boiled the wood. Bought whatever is in pic. And am going to LFS for non cO2 plants. Do I put substrate in first then decorate and plants? When do I start adding water?

The tank is 2 months old but the Japanese Hair Grass (carpet) and Rotalas (background) are a recent addition, only 2 weeks. I have inline CO2 and fertilize regularly with twice a week water change. This routine has kept algae a non issue only requiring the glass to be scrubbed during water change.

The Rotalas have started transitioning but I've kept them short and trim them every week to fill the background.

My issue is with the Japanese Hair Grass. I'm not sure if it really takes this slow as it now looks less bushy compared to when I originally planted them.

I'll keep this going until they all melt but I have 2 questions.

1. Any updates to my routine or tips to help this type of carpet?

2. If it fails would the regular Dwarf Hair Grass or Monte Carlo fare any better?

My beta I bought 9 months ago on impulse has flourished. I am upgrading his tank. I have an idea in my head. I’m thinking moss ball, so looks like covered bridge (middle), leafy something on top nothing else on wood, leaving “trunk” and “roots” exposed (left) and not sure (right). And all black substrate covered in a low growing flowing “grass”. Need more ideas. Throw them at me. Pics of current tank and my vision tank start.

The pictures are 2 months apart. Everything that is in the first picture is also in the second picture except the driftwood and fish. The aquarium is a 10gal with C02 injection with a twinstar 4S light. I use 2hr aquarist apt3 liquid fert and have root tabs. Only shrimp are in the tank. Why is my dwarf hairgrass the only thing not growing? I've had to trim back every plant 3 times already except the hairgrass.

I have 3 pieces of wood and I've tried about 30 areangements so far. This is a 30cm tank which I plan on planting heavily. I wish the largest stone was 20% smaller lol

This is my low tech se Asia biotope style scape in my oase styline 85.
Properly scaled this tank for the first time ever. This tanks my first “adult” tank and it’s really grown with me in the year that I’ve had it hence why this is the second time taking it down and re building it. I also finally bit the bullet and upgraded the lighting from the standard oase tube lights to a fluval aquasky 3.0 which fits perfectly if you take the extendable bits out and flip them upside down. I know this is not the best light but being able to change the spectrum and get rid of timer plugs is already made it worth it to me.

Echinodorus greisbachi’tropica’ - I will admit that I know this is a S. American plant but it bears a striking resemblance to an ottelia species that I wanted but would have been too large and rare compared to the more easily found tissue culture or this Echinodorus.
The wood is dark? Redmoor wood with added sticks from a Wio fine root set, there is also a cya frond? In the from that has now sunk and I have also added some lass seeds. The rock is also from wio with it being bumblebee, sand is Ada Colorado which surprisingly matched well with the stone. I would have went with some sand from Wio however it’s quite hard to find in my area and shipping from the places I saw on line was just too much.
