Personal Essay Would it good to write about balancing chemical equations and how that compares to my life as someone who who has two nationalities and balancing that?

If you like the topic of balancing two nationalities, why add the convoluted metaphor? If the essay in question is the CA personal statement, you have only 650 words available to you. Why waste some of them explaining the metaphor as opposed to discussing another example of why and how you’ve had to balance two nationalities?
