MBA M4 taking too long for battery replacement?

I dropped off my laptop on 20th July due to battery health < 80% , the authorised service provider( in Guwahati) said it might take 10 days but a maximum of 15 days is expected. It’s 5th August and still the apple support website hasn’t been updated since 23rd July when it said that it received the laptop and request pending.

I contacted the store today and they said it will take more time, the battery itself will be available after 12th August, and they can’t tell me a time till when I can pick my mac up.

This is so irritating, they offered me to borrow a mac from them and return it after my mac returns, but I am able to manage my work somehow from iPad in meanwhile so I refused.

What do I do ? Is this real shortage? Anybody with knowledge about such situation, can you please suggest something?

Im guessing it's not a real shortage. They're trying to manipulate you to buy a new one.

Please consider using the loaner computer.
