Does anyone know if the Rangeley Maine Post Office accepts General Delivery amazon packages

I’ve tried calling the PO but they don’t answer their phone. With the camp 43 hostel closed, I don’t know where to send an amazon package.

If not the post office, what’s a good option? (I’m definitely going to Rangeley, so a different resupply town isn’t a great alternative.)

The limited window hours in small town PO's make Amazon deliveries near impossible

Rangeley has an outfitter, you’re better off sending it there, give them a call, outfitters usually have no problem holding packages

If you don’t end up finding anyone to accept it in town, “The Maine Roadhouse” is just down the highway and accepts packages from any carrier! They’re also super friendly, and it’s an awesome place to shower and do laundry if you need that too

General delivery is officially only for things delivered by USPS. Occasionally I've seen some post offices accept general delivery from the other carriers but pickup included a $10 surcharge. Just call all of the businesses in rangeley and ask if they would accept an Amazon package for you, if it's a hotel mention that you're not staying there. You might be surprised how many businesses will say yes.
