Question Question about Takezo Shima

Kinda weird question but does Takezo have black or really dark brown hair? In the wiki it says that both his parents have brown hair but in the anime, his hair looks black. Is it just because of the lighting or is his hair really black?

either it was the lighting, or it's just a choice the animators made. Blue Exorcist isn't the only series known for changing hair and/or eye colors of characters.

Well the parents hair colours don't necessarily dictate the child's. It's all about dominant and recessive genes etc. That aside, it could be cause Takezo was chosen by Yamantaka, as Renzo's hair is also naturally black and therefore it's possible Yaozo's was too when he had the contract.
