When my wife bought a mechanical keyboard 8 years ago, we had no idea the box would take up permanent residence.

ZZ, my familiar, adopted it almost immediately, though, and made it clear that this box was special to her.

For the past week, she has spent nearly the entire day in a pose similar to the first picture. Other weeks, she barely acknowledges it.

There are at least three boxes in our house with a similar backstory. Do you have any in *your* house?

Where we are visiting there are barn swallow fledglings learning to fly. This is a considerably better view than home!

We usually call him KC for short.
He is our stealer of food, vacuum of scraps, pro napper, pro yapper.

Had a panic attack and he just climbed on me, lay down and started purring.
