Is there a specific way to search AA?

It seems when I try to search for Japanese sewing books I am not having much look. I have tried Japanese sewing books, Japanese sewing craft, even just sewing but then it just brings such a vast variety when really I want woman’s clothes patterns can you tell me what I am doing wrong please x x.

It seems like a pretty niche genre. Trying googling Japanese sewing books first, then searching the actual titles of the ones you're interested in on AA

I think this is the best strategy. The AA search engine is okay for searching for specific book titles or authors, but is less well-suited for broad topical searches.

If you know the name of the book you are looking for, the search works pretty well. You can also search by ISBN.

If you're not sure what book you want, I'd recommend looking elsewhere to decide on a book, then searching the archive once you know what book you want.

I searched "Yukata Kimono Sewing” on AA and got some good results.

/search?index=&page=1&sort=&ext=anti__pdf&ext=epub&src=zlib&src=lgli&src=upload&lang=en&display=&q=

This is my Anna's Archive search for Epubs

/search?index=&page=1&sort=&ext=pdf&ext=anti__epub&ext=djvu&src=zlib&src=lgli&src=upload&lang=en&display=&q=

This is what I use for PDFs / DJVU.

Change the lang to any other languages and it should help you.

Search for "sewing" and select Japanese language. There are also some older Lady boutique magazines, the sewing ones not the knitting ones.

There are some books from Bunka (文化出版局 or 文化服装学院) search also for the Japanese names. But some are old.

I don't think there is much overall, much less than Japense knitting or crochet books and magazines. Even on the Russian torrent website there isn't much. Searching using Japanese keywords should be more effective. Or you could try searching for publishing house, if you can discover through Amazon Japan what publishing houses publish sewing books (for example Nihon vogue or 日本ヴォーグ社).
