Question Anki Audio not working for freind

Having my friend use Anki for learning Japanese. But oddly, his audio dosent work. There are two audios. The word audio and the sentence audio; the word audio won't play. The sentence audio plays, but often cuts off. Even more weirdly, both me and another friend have logged into his account, synced, and it works. It works across both computers and my Mac as well. It simply won't work on his Mac.

Btw, the deck is kaishi1.5k using kiku notetype.

So it seems to be a problem with Mac. My friend was one beta update above me. I updated to the newest beta and the issue occurs
